If you're heading to Menorca and love good food, you're in for a treat. This sunny little island isn’t just about stunning beaches—it’s also packed with amazing places to eat. Whether you're into laid-back seafood spots in sleepy fishing villages or chic restaurants with sea views, Menorca’s got something for every vibe. Get ready to dive into fresh, local flavors and discover some of the best eats the Mediterranean has to offer.
Cap Roig (Sa Mesquida)
This might just be my favorite restaurant on the island. They serve outstanding fish and seafood in a relaxed, unpretentious setting with breathtaking sea views. I highly recommend trying the John Dory—a local specialty—oven-baked with potatoes, which is my personal favorite. That said, you really can’t go wrong with any of the day’s fresh catch.

Sa Punta (Cales Fonts)
Another exceptional spot that’s absolutely worth a visit. I strongly recommend ordering either the seafood rice or the catch of the day—both of which I’ve tried and still can’t stop thinking about. Beyond the outstanding food, the setting is truly spectacular, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the quaint port and the sea. It’s a place that feels genuinely special.

Ivette Beach Club (Cala Morell)
This spot is especially great for a laid-back lunch. What truly sets it apart is the unbeatable location and relaxed vibe—think chilled music, ocean views, and a terrace that feels like a dream. The menu leans more international than traditional Spanish (though you’ll still find a few local dishes), and I’d recommend going for the “raw” options like the salmon tartare, tuna tataki, or one of their salads.

Francesca (Cala Galdana)
While Cala Galdana isn’t my top choice for where to stay, there’s a restaurant here that’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Francesca is a fantastic Italian spot where you can enjoy classic dishes with a Mediterranean influence —think seafood-infused favorites like linguine alle vongole. The restaurant’s cozy, Menorcan-style decor adds to its charm, making it a warm and inviting place to dine.

Can Tanu (Fornells)
A charming, family-run restaurant nestled in the picturesque town of Fornells, Can Tanu is best known for its caldereta de langosta—a traditional Menorcan lobster stew made with locally caught rock lobsters, vegetables, and thin slices of toasted bread. It’s worth noting that this dish is seasonal due to fishing restrictions and comes at a premium, around €85 per person. That said, it’s a truly authentic experience. If you're looking for something equally delicious but a bit different, I highly recommend their fideuà negra—a rich, squid ink dish made with short, thin noodles (fideos) that delivers bold flavor and a striking presentation.

Pinzell (Ciutadella)
In the charming town of Ciutadella, you’ll find no shortage of excellent dining options—and Pinzell is certainly among the best. While it sits on the higher end of the price spectrum, the culinary experience is well worth it. The menu, rooted in Spanish cuisine, is intentionally concise and showcases top-quality ingredients with a focus on bold, refined flavors. For those looking to explore a broader range of dishes, the tasting menu is a fantastic option.

Cantina (Illa del Rei)
Ever dreamed of arriving at dinner by boat? At Cantina, that’s exactly how you get there—it’s the only way in, and it sets the tone for a truly unique experience. While the food may not be the most memorable on this list, the setting more than makes up for it. Nestled in a garden among pine trees with views over the sea, it’s the kind of place where you can unwind over Mediterranean dishes in a setting that feels effortlessly magical.

A quick tip before you go—most of these spots are incredibly popular, especially in July and August, so be sure to book ahead to avoid missing out on a great meal with a view.
